Data retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our rights. Once it’s no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize the data.

 

Other sites and services

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, apps, or services linked to or embedded in the Service.

 

Security

We use technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

 

International data transfer

We are headquartered in the U.S. and may transfer data to service providers or affiliates in other countries. These countries may not offer the same level of protection as your home country.

 

Children and teens

Children under 13. The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent as required by law, we will delete it promptly and close the account. To report a child under 13 using the Service, contact help@bantr.org.
Teens (ages 13 to 17). Users who are 13 to 17 years old may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, as described in our Terms of Service. Where the law of your country or state requires the consent of a parent or guardian for users under an age higher than 13 (for example, some countries in the European Economic Area set the age of digital consent at 14, 15 or 16), you may use the Service only with that consent. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 18, and we do not knowingly use it for interest-based advertising. Parents and guardians may contact help@bantr.org to review, correct or delete a teen's personal information, or to close a teen's account.

Safety tools. Anyone can report a user or content to us from within the app, and we may review and remove content that violates our Terms of Service. Teens should not share personal contact details, precise location or images of themselves in public or shared areas of the Service.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by updating the effective date above and posting a notice via the Service or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after the effective date indicates acceptance of the new version.
